Frequently Asked Questions
How do I book you for my wedding?
The best place to start is by getting in touch via my contact page to check availability. Please include your wedding date, where you’ll be getting ready, and how many people will need a hair service, and I’ll come back to you as soon as I can.
Do I need a trial?
Yes – a trial is really important for both of us. It gives us the chance to meet, talk through your ideas, and design a style that works beautifully with your hair type and cut.
It also allows me to understand how your hair behaves, take notes on products and techniques, and offer suggestions so everything feels considered and well-planned on the day.
If you’re unable to attend a trial in person, I’m very happy to arrange a Zoom consultation so we can talk through hair and logistics together.
What products do you use?
I’m not tied to one specific brand. My kit includes a mix of high-quality professional and premium consumer products chosen for performance and longevity.
These include L’Oréal Professionnel Tecni.Art, EVO Hair, Moroccan Oil, Maria Nila, and other trusted professional products. Wherever possible, I use vegan and cruelty-free products and tools.
How long should I allow for hair on the wedding morning?
I typically allow around an hour for the bride and 45 minutes to an hour for each additional person, depending on the style.
I always work backwards from your leaving time and create a clear schedule at your trial, so you know exactly how the morning will run and can relax knowing everything is organised.
Can you work with all hair types?
Yes – I have experience working with all hair types and textures. While I don’t offer chemical treatments (such as relaxing), I’m very happy to work with naturally curly or textured hair, including blow-dries for smoother finishes where needed.
Will you advise me on how to prepare my hair for the wedding?
Absolutely. I’m always happy to advise on treatments and masks in the months leading up to your wedding, so the earlier we start, the better.
On the wedding day itself, I work with clean, dry hair (unless you’re having a blow-dry), so I recommend washing your hair the night before. Please avoid using straighteners or heated tools, as these can affect the hair shaft and make styling more difficult.
Do you supply hair extensions?
I don’t supply extensions directly, but I’m very happy to recommend where to buy high-quality clip-in extensions if they’re needed.
I always have some to hand during trials so we can decide together whether they’ll enhance your style. I’m fully trained and experienced in working with clip-in extensions and padding, and I make my own padding to suit your hairstyle and hair type.
